White House Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Photographs Released
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they described as "troubling" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—along with another 70 released later on Friday constitute a small number of the nearly 100,000 images handed over to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The fallen money manager died by apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Among the high-profile individuals seen in the first release are well-known figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Statement
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the images for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson remarked, insisting that "the current government has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by repeatedly calling for openness, disclosing numerous documents of documents, and calling for more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photos were released devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with the rich and powerful.
"The moment has come to end this White House concealment and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these documents coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its investigation into the Epstein matter.
