The artist known as D4vd was named as a suspect in the demise of Celeste Rivas, a adolescent who vanished and was later found deceased inside the singer's Tesla car earlier this year, according to law enforcement.

Location of the Deceased

The deteriorated corpse of Rivas, fifteen, was discovered in September inside the front storage compartment of a dark-colored Tesla registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The automobile had been ticketed in a Los Angeles neighborhood and subsequently seized at a vehicle storage facility in the metropolitan area.

Timeline of Occurrences

Investigators suspect that Rivas probably succumbed in the earlier part of the year, noting that D4vd had apparently been involved in dismembering and discarding the corpse. The artist has not been cooperative in the probe, per a official representative.

The young girl Rivas was initially declared missing from her hometown in April 2024. The corpse was subsequently found in the artist's Tesla after workers at a towing company notified a strong stench originating from the vehicle.

Investigation and Official Comments

This cause of death has still not been ascertained, but the medical examiner's office stated that Rivas “appears to have been dead inside the automobile for an extended period before being located.” Law enforcement are viewing her demise as a murder.

Context on the Singer

The Houston-born musician had been given a violation in the Los Angeles neighborhood just less than two weeks before Rivas was located in the vehicle, after overstaying the short-term parking limit. Neighbors in the Hollywood Hills mentioned that the Tesla had been parked in the vicinity for more than 30 days.

Celeste's sibling stated that the relatives was aware that Rivas knew the artist and that she was headed to see a movie with him just before she vanished.

D4vd, pronounced as “David,” is a NY-native singer-songwriter known for the popular songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” He and his agent were staying at a LA property in the Hollywood area in September, per the home's owner, until authorities entered the residence.

D4vd has contracted with music companies. He was on tour at the period Rivas's remains were found, but called off those shows subsequent to the discovery of Rivas's corpse.
