Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence is not the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to return to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
