FC Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
