Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation Advisers Participate in Members of Parliament's Inquiry In the Wake of Assertions of Prejudice in Disclosed Memo
We start with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament the committee chair, who oversees the panel.
She initiates by providing details to the leaked document prepared by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and just," he declares.
In response to a query if he thinks the BBC is institutionally biased, the adviser responds: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC creates is world class - encompassing informative and fictional shows."
However, he continues: "There exists real work that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
Another ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation adviser examined by the committee, Caroline Daniel, says she views the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it maintains a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" regarding dynamic and complex issues.
"Was the BBC ready to conduct a proper conversation and debate and implement changes?" she asks herself. "In my view, indeed, they were."
