David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the company said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
