Rice's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the initial part of this season due to an NFL suspension for his role in causing a crash on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals injured. Rice was given 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Kansas City went with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a ten-year span.
